SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Annie is a wonderful girl! She was found as a stray in central NC and never reclaimed. We are delighted to be able to serve her. Annie is super sweet and very playful, and a joy to be around. She's learning to walk on a leash and seems to love everyone she meets. She is likely fully grown at just over 45 pounds. She appears to be in good health, is receiving all her vaccines, and will be spayed and microchipped as a part of our adoption process. We are seeking a perfect home for this lovely gal. She seems to do well with other dogs but is not cat tested. She loves people and loves to play. We are looking for an active adopter who has time to spend with her, and who has a private, fenced yard for her safe play and exercise. A home without small children or very small dogs will be necessary, otherwise she will fit nicely into most homes.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
