Meet Smaug!
Smaug is around 8 months old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and all ready to find his perfect forever home. He'd love a family with the time and energy to invest in training!
This sweet pup was brought to HSoP with four siblings at just three months old, and we aren't sure what their life looked like before coming here. Smaug has spent more than half his life in the shelter at this point, and really needs someone with the willingness to help him learn. He's confident and highly treat motivated which should help with his training.
We're guessing Smaug is some sort of pit bull mix, but regardless of his breed, this guy is packed with energy! Smaug would appreciate an active owner who can ensure his physical and mental needs are met each day. With consistent training, regular exercise, and the right amount of love, Smaug would make a wonderful family pet.
Smaug was briefly adopted into a home with cats, and he showed a tendency to chase them. For this reason, Smaug is looking for a home with no cats. As with all dog adoptions, Smaug will be required to meet any dogs in the home prior to leaving HSoP.
We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to ensure a good fit for the entire family. Smaug had play time with his siblings before they were adopted and did well with them.
