My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maybelline is a cute 1 1/2 year old lb terrier mixed breed who is fairly petite at only 40 lbs.

She has the cutest ears and unusual vocalization. It's not a bark, not a whine, but all her own! Maybelline is sweet and affectionate, looooooves belly rubs and cuddling with people.

She just finished obedience training and here is what her trainer says:

May is very lovable. She is big on cuddling and always up for it. She loves attention from her people and is content just being with them. She loves to play outside. She gets along well with other dogs.

Peanut butter is her favorite treat. She knows the following commands: down, stay, come, and heel. She walks well on a leash.

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
