My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

This big beautiful tabby is Snickers!  She was adopted as a kitten back in 2018 with her sister.  That arrangement didn't work out as Snickers wanted all of the attention for herself. She came back to stay with us at the shelter until we can find her just the right home.  Snickers is an affectionate cat but she does get easily annoyed by the presence of the other cats in her room.  Her ideal home would be one where she is the only one getting all the love!  Snickers is a big girl and will make a wonderful lap anchor for the all important 'cat law' in which you cannot get up if a cat has made themselves comfortable on your lap!  She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, FeLV/FIV negative and microchipped.  As always our adoption fee for cats/kittens is free will for approved applicants.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
