ADOPTION PENDING

PLEASE NOTE: An adoption application is required if you are truly interested in adopting NELSON..  Please cut and paste this link  to your browser ---> https://forms.gle/uN4Gp6ecwwpkoLod9.

Due to the rising veterinary costs, we are asking an adoption fee for COOKIE. If you are interested, please email us at rorescue.tucson@gmail.com.

ABOUT COOKIE: Upon observation: we have determined that COOKIE is a Lhasa Apso/Pug mix. She has longish straight fur. She weighs 18 lbs and is about 3 years old... and is missing one eye

COOKIE's ORIGIN: This sweet girl was listed as a stray by the local shelter. When walking the shelter looking for my next project, I saw her curled up in the corner of her pen. She looked depressed. Without even looking at her kennel card, I told the volunteer, I will take that one. Cookie was in poor shape, with ticks and itchy skin and... missing one eye. A foul odor came from her mouth and ears, telling me she also had an ear infection and needed a dental cleaning. and.... She was missing one eye. Observing, she had already had at least one litter of puppies and was not spayed.

RoRescue had her vet checked. She was put on meds for her ears, we treated her for ticks and itchies, had her teeth cleaned and had her spayed. COOKIE is no longer depressed.

PERSONALITY: COOKIE loves everyone, sleeps right next to me on the bed. She rarely barks unless it is time to eat. We think at one time, she was loved and has had some doggie training. She loves to sit for photos. Walks well on a leash and seems potty trained. She is very smart and promises to become your loyal companion.

RORESCUE NOTES: We are looking for an "forever" adopter who will give this girl a safe loving home and keep her "forever"

FYI, the county shelter does not help Rescue Groups with veterinary expenses. We use our own vets and we pay them thru adoption fees and donations. Lately, veterinary fees have escalated, making it harder and harder to keep helping these homeless dogs. Please be considerate when deciding to adopt a "Rescue DOG".

ALL RORESCUE DOGS are vet checked, spayed/neutered, dental cleaning (if needed), microchipped and UTD on shots. Full blood panel/Valley Fever/Tick Fever/Heartworm testing is NOT customarily done, unless veterinary suggested

RoRescue adopts their dogs as INDOOR pets, with sufficient supervised outdoor exercise time.

RoRescue requires a secure yard and safe environment for this dog.

We do NOT adopt to out-of area or out of state locations.
