My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Guero

Age: 2 years old approximately (as of 11/22/23)

Gender: Male

Weight: 27 kgs / 59 pounds

Breed: Labrador mix

Color: Yellow

Spayed/Neutered? Yes

Vaccinated? Yes

Heart Worm Negative?  Yes

Good with dogs? Yes

Resource guarding? Yes, best to feed separately if to be a second dog.

Bark / noisy?  No

Good with kids? Yes

Good with cats? No

Energy level? Medium. Guero loves interactive activities with people such a as playing with a ball, running with other dogs and mental stimulation.

Has experience on a leash? Yes

Potty trained? Yes, he is clean and follows his daycare rules. He will adjust rapidly to new home rules.

Crate trained? Yes

Where does the dog stay when it is alone? In his kennel space, currently he is in outdoor facility among other dogs and the family that lives there.

Where does the dog sleep?  Accustomed to sleeping on his bed in the kennel area

Temperament/Personality: Has all the character features of his breed, intelligent, eager to please, warm and open personality with a friendly temperament towards people and dogs in social environments. As Labrador breeds are, Guero thrives with company of people and loves the social attention.

What does the dog's ideal home look like?  Will do well with a sole owner or as a part of a family. He gets along well with children and other dogs. Guero can be energetic so would love an active person that includes him on outdoor activities. He behaves very well in the car. Guero is also mostly placid.

What is the dog's rescue story? Was spotted roaming the streets in a small community in the outskirts of Guadalajara city. Everything pointed to that he was left abandoned by his owners as that is common practice with breed dogs that are no longer cute puppies. Guero seemed to come from a home environment as he was not in street condition.

Looking for his much deserved forever home.

Guero is waiting in Mexico until a family is committed to fostering her or taking him on a trial. If you are interested, apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org his adoption fee is $550
