My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Betty and Veronica!

These sweet gals are looking to spice up your life. Betty and Veronica have quite the personalities and we're expecting that to show even more once they're placed in their forever home. They absolutely LOVE puzzles and are very good at rearranging their room. Their favourite piece of décor is a large cardboard box that they get to tear apart when they're feeling spicy. With these two, expect to think that there are ghosts living in your house as they like to throw their toys around and bounce off the walls. Since Betty and Veronica are still quite young, they have a lot of energy and are quite comfortable with being petted. That being said, they can have a sassy side and like to do things on their own terms.

Betty and Veronica are our longest term residents and have been in care a total of 336 days. They were born in our care and they have only known the shelter life. They would absolutely excel at being house rabbits and we want them to get the full experience of a happy rabbit life!

*Please note that we require a photo of your current enclosure for bunnies, to ensure it matches our adoptability standards*

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
