My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*In Foster*

Meet Tom and Jerry, the inseparable duo of guinea pigs who are as charming and lively as their cartoon namesakes! This bonded pair brings double the fun and double the love to every interaction, and they are eagerly waiting to find a forever home together.

Tom is the more adventurous of the two, always curious and ready to explore new environments. His enthusiasm is contagious, and you'll often find him leading the way in their playful antics. Jerry, on the other hand, is a bit more laid back but equally endearing, often following closely behind Tom, providing moral support and joining in on the fun.

These two love to communicate in delightful squeaks and chirps, especially when they suspect it's time to eat or when you're ready to give them some gentle attention. They adore munching on fresh veggies, exploring their habitat, and cozying up together in a comfy corner for naps.

Tom and Jerry are looking for a home where they can continue their adventures together in a loving and nurturing environment. They promise to fill their new family's days with joy, laughter, and lots of cuddly moments.

If you're ready to double the delight in your home with these two fuzzy friends, come meet Tom and Jerry! They can't wait to start their next big adventure with you.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
