My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looks like: Terrier mix
Male, 9 years old (estimated), 11 pounds

If the description of Josh had to be condensed into one single word it would have to be 'Adoration.' He is just that, absolutely adorable and, equivalently, he completely adores his human companions. This sweet little guy will follow you around and admire everything you do, washing dishes, driving the car, working on the computer, Josh will be there to let you know that you are doing a very fine job. With his amazingly expressive ears he will respond to every word you say, will dole out kisses whenever he can, and roll over for belly rubs. He would love a home where he could spend all day, every day snuggling and cuddling with his humans. That said, Josh also likes to be out and about, exploring the yard, hanging out on the beach, tagging along on leashed walks, or going for a ride in the car. He is polite with all people and dogs that he meets, though sometimes he can be initially a tad reserved. We have not observed him around children yet, but we are pretty sure that he would enjoy the company of older, respectful kids and he might also be fine with cats. He is relaxed when home alone.

Josh takes daily medication for a heart murmur and high blood pressure. Found as a stray, his foster family reports that he acted as though he won the biggest jackpot when he first got to sleep in his new cozy dog bed. This grateful and affectionate lad is just waiting to blossom and be pampered in his forever home.

Josh came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services to make room in the overfull shelter.
