Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Adoption Area: East Tennessee
Hannah needs:
-Adult home or one with children over 10
-Someone home most of the day or a small fur buddy to keep me company when you are gone
Hi, my name is Hannah. I am a female chihuahua/terrier mix. I weigh 9 lbs and the vet estimates that I am about 6 years old. I came into foster care from a shelter where I was diagnosed as being heartworm positive. After confirming that I had heartworms, I was started on a 2-month treatment to get rid of them. The treatment was completed in early January and I am now ready to find my forever home.
My foster parents think that I am the sweetest, easy going little girl. I get along well with both my foster mom and dad and my foster fur sister. I will initially be shy with new people and dogs that I meet, but warm up quickly. I am very vocal, not so much barking, but I appear to be talking to you, especially when you come home after being gone. I do bark, but only when someone comes to the door or when I see someone new. I love being where you are, but can content myself in a dog bed if you are busy. Cuddling on the couch under a warm blanket in the evenings is my favorite thing to do. My foster mom has not seen me play with toys, but I do like to chew on a Nylabone. On occassion, I try to get my foster fur sister to play with me, so having a fur buddy in my new home would be great. I am housetrained, but do best if taken out on a regular basis. A secure fenced yard would be nice to have, but not necessary as I walk well on a leash and enjoy going for walks, as long as it is not raining or very cold out. I sleep all night without a peep in a kennel beside my foster parents’ bed. I am a good eater and am not food aggressive.
Because I have been treated for heartworms, I will need to be retested in 6 months to make sure that they are gone. Otherwise the vet found no other health problems. I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. I am also current on my flea and heartworm prevention. I need a forever home with someone home most of the day or a fur buddy to keep me company when you are gone. Children in the home should be 10 years or older. My adoption fee is $175.
