My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jerry, a gorgeous 3-year-old male Maine Coon mix!  Jerry has some of the typical Maine Coon traits such as large paws, a big ruff (mane), fluffy tail and long whiskers.  He is mostly orange with some white down his chest and on his paws.  Jerry loves attention and being petted, but he can become overstimulated at times.

Jerry is not aggressive, but when he doesn’t know you or hasn’t developed trust in you, he does have a tendency to bite.  We are looking for a long-term foster or adopter who has experience with cats who bite.  Jerry needs someone who is willing to work with him and give him all the time he needs to learn to trust humans again.

Jerry was born on approximately May 1, 2020.  He has been neutered, and will be microchipped and up to date on his shots prior to adoption.  He would be okay in a home with other non-aggressive cats, but no dogs or children, please.

For more information about fostering or adopting Jerry, please contact Deborah at 510-909-4961 (text preferred) or at angusnfriends@outlook.com

More about this rescue

Angus & Friends is a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit in California. Angus was an approximately 15 y.o. orange tabby found on death's door by people who lived in his neighborhood who assumed he had a home. He didn't, but probably did at one time, because he turned out to be friendly, though very sick. We tried to save him, but he ultimately had to be put down because he was not recovering after a blood transfusion due to flea anemia. Our goal is to help as many homeless cats and kittens as possible to get off the mean streets and find a furrever home.
