My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Delta is 4.5yo, weighs 110, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped.  Delta's guardian adds:  "She is a total love bug and all she wants is to be pet and loved!  She will be your shadow and best friend.  If you get excited she will trot over to you and bark to make sure you're okay.  It's her way of saying mom day you ok??  She is fine in the car but you need to tell her to lay down; she will try to give you kisses as you drive.  She knows the following commands: sit, stay, off, leave it, bed, lay down, heal, come, duckie (toy), and wait.  She is a relaxed dog.  She does well with my 50lb male, but doesn't get along with my females.  I didn't realize I would have problems with bringing another female into the mix, so my other female displays dominance.  For small children, I would feed separate to be safe.  I can stick my hand in her bowl and pet her as she eats but to be safe for small kids."

Delta's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "She does not get along with my other dog.  I think it's my other dog.  They have been in fights and it's not a healthy environment."

Bite incident and fighting with other dog:  Within the past couple of years, Delta has been in a couple of scuffles with her female canine sibling, because the sibling displays dominance.  Delta's guardian explains the circumstances:

"The last fight my two female dogs were in was probably a year to a year and a
half ago they’ve been I believe in three fights I don’t recall what started all of them.
The first one I think was over a display of dominance Delta kept standing over my other
female dog, and when we corrected her to go away and turned her back for a second,
they both started fighting.  The second one was over either a toy or bone between the
two females I was on my honeymoon.  My dad was watching the dogs.  We told him not
to have toys or bones out with the two females out and he did and they were fighting over
again either a toy or a bone he went to break it up and I know he did get bit now that I
am recalling it.  I just don’t remember which dog bit him by accident.  He said his hand
was in the way when he was trying to break the dogfight up I can ask him if it was Circe
or Delta that bit him to get clarification.  The third one Saoirse lunged at Delta when she
was standing next to her, and Circe seem to be more of the aggressor.   My other female
is Cersei  My trainer said Cirsei is upset & protective over me and displays domanance.
I did not know this until I brought Delta into the mix.  It is all 100% my fault. I should
have never done 2 females, I should have introduced much slower and Delta was not
spayed and was starting a heat cycle when I first got her.  I take full responsibility for the
inexperience of having 2 adult dogs.  I always had a puppy with an aduilt dog."

Delta's guardian provides a brief medical history:  "Slight lameness in her right leg, meds took care of it.  Dry skin in winter time have medicated shampoo."

Delta's guardian states the following regarding children:  Delta lived with a 2yo child in her previous home, so her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "My neighbor's 5yo daughter will stick her arm over the fence and pet Delta.  Kids in public will pet her.  She wags her tail and gives kisses.  I do recommend watching her excitement as she might jump".

Delta's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Delta lives with dogs, so her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "Usually ignores them.  Animals in the home needs to be a male or submissive female.  Do not recommend another large female".

Delta's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Delta lives with a cat as well, so her guardian recommends her living with cats, stating "My cat lives in the basement but we did introduce and Delta licked our cat and was excited.  No barking or growling.  But she hasn't been around my cat a lot".

Delta's guardian describes her as:

Couch potato
Playful
Friendly
Likes to be touched
Affectionate
Protective
Always at your side
Indoor dog
House-Trained
Crate-Trained
Likes men
Likes women

Delta's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "A loving home with a fenced yard for her to zoom around.  She can go without a fence.  Mild activity."
