My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Treat – This handsome kitty needs a loving forever home. Treat came back to ARC when his guardian’s health failed, and he was no longer able to care for him. When first coming back, Treat immediately found his favorite spot in a condo near the interior door of his house. After a couple of weeks, Treat relaxed and is now out of the interior part of the house and is busy socializing with the staff and welcoming visitors at the door. Treat is a gentle, friendly kitty that welcomes petting and attention from all. Come meet Treat and see for yourself what a loving companion he would make. Although Treat lives in a house with other kitties, he would much prefer to be the only cat in a home.

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
