Meet Mouse, a wise feline in search of a calm and gentle home to spend his twilight years. Mouse has had a rough start in life, living on the streets for many years. Though he may be skittish at first, with time, his gentle and calm personality really shines.

At 13 years old, this laid-back gentleman prefers to spend his time curling up and snoozing, as he cherishes the comfort of a warm lap. Although he is not a playful cat, Mouse will tolerate being petted and will even reward you with his soothing purrs. While he may not actively seek out affection, he appreciates the love and attention when offered.

One of Mouse’s adorable quirks is his creaky-door meow, almost resembling a raven call. Whether it be communicating he is hungry or that his favorite sitting spot is currently occupied, Mouse is not shy about using his voice to express his opinions. He will be sure to capture your attention!

In his foster family, Mouse had the opportunity to socialize with a lone older cat who respected his space, which he handled well. Mouse would thrive in a household as a single kitty, or with other independent feline friends who respect his independence. His independent, low energy nature means he would thrive in a forever home with adults who will understand and respect his need for a peaceful coexistence.

You will be emailed a link to our online adoption contract. Simply fill it out online to transfer ownership from the rescue to you!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
