My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shiner is a 12 year old (DOB 1/1014) neutered, declawed male kitty who is looking for a forever home. The toddler in his original home has stage 4 cancer and can’t be around any animal that sheds, litter, etc. Shiner moved to a relative’s home temporarily, but he is unable to return to the original home due to the ongoing medical situation. He’s a sweet cat and quickly made himself comfortable in his foster home. Shiner has lived with medium and large dogs his entire life. He will make friends and is comfortable with dogs. For the last six months he has lived with two cats, and if introduced slowly, he should do okay with other cats. He would be ok living with older children who are experienced with cats. He has lived with two children under four years old the last few years and wasn’t too thrilled about it. He doesn’t love loud noises and the unpredictability of young children can make him anxious.

Shiner was recently diagnosed with degenerative joint disease and receives a monthly Solensia injection and is doing great! This is a newly-approved injection that is working wonders on cats with osteoarthritis. His original owner is willing to sponsor the first three months of injections.

Shiner is a smart guy! He’s recently been working on clicker training for “here” and “find it.” He loves anything that crinkles and has a special affinity for boxes (even for a cat!)

If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please submit an application today. He is being fostered in the Denver area. https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/catadoptionapplication/

Once the family decides on the animal, the contract will be processed and adoption fee with be paid and they can take the pet home that day.
