Peanut, the adorable Chihuahua mix, is ready to melt your heart! This little guy is the full package: irresistibly cute, delightfully cuddly, and playfully charming! While he's won the hearts of all his human friends at the rescue, Peanut may take a little extra time to warm up in new situations. He's a bit shy initially around other dogs, but with a proper introduction, Peanut could thrive with respectful canine companions. The same goes for cats and children – with the right introductions and some patience, he's sure to become fast friends with everyone he meets.

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
