My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Sunny was brought in by her previous owner.

At SDHS:
Sunny is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home!

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Sunny! This energetic girl is ready to explore the world with you! She loves long leash walks. Sunny would do best in a home as the only dog so that she can soak up all of your love and attention. She's also not a fan of cats, so she's required to go to a home without cats. Since she's very strong and energetic, we recommend she go to a home without young kids (under 10). As a Siberian Husky, Sunny has the extremely high energy and loud, proud singing that comes with the breed. If you would like to meet Sunny and add a little sunshine to your life, visit our Escondido campus. Bring a leash and collar so you can take Sunny home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
