My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BRING COOKIES. WE CAN BE FRIENDS!

Hi, I'm Dot, Dottie, Doodles--they call me lots of goofy names because I'm a  goofball! I've been playing with the wonderful ladies at Winding Lane Kennels and, although I love them to  pieces, I'd really like to have my own family. They say that I have "stranger danger" issues, but I just require that new people bring me cookies! Think of it as a friendship offering and I'll be your new best friend. :)

I've been working with my lovely trainer and she says I'm a quick learner. I DO love to please people.

I like to cuddle, but at 60 lb. I may be too big for your lap. I get the zoomies ALL the time! Everyone cracks up and secretly takes videos. I love hunting lizards and bugs and will run off those weird-looking tree dogs with the fuzzy tails. So I would be happiest with a fenced yard in which to do my zoomies!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.

More about this rescue

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers for many years, we are very familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.
