My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luna Lou!  A four year old female Boston Terrier.  She is smart and loving to her adult owners but isn’t good with small children.  She likes to be in charge so needs to be the only pet in the house or be with dogs who are very submissive. She is used to a fenced in yard and she doesn’t like walks. She does loves to play fetch and tug of war and then cuddle in the couch for he evenings.  She is house trained and sleeps in her crate at night.  She isn’t use to being alone so would be best for someone who works from home or is retired.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.

More about this rescue

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers for many years, we are very familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.
