My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Sushi!

This handsome husky was a long-termer at Hitchcock Road Animal Services before coming into our care here at AFRP. Now, he's looking for his furever home!

Sushi is a lovable pup who has yet to meet someone he doesn't get along with! He's definitely seeking a home with Ana active family that enjoys the water (and playing with sticks) just as much as he does! He's up for any adventure so long as some yummy treats are involved and his favorite humans.

Sushi is looking for a home with adult adopters or with families that have children over the age of 10 to ensure safe and continued positive socialization! Sushi does well with other dogs and would love to find a home with another playful pup (cats unknown) but will need to be introduced slowly and over time.

We are seeking adopters who have experience with large breed dogs like Huskies as well as their personalities, behaviors, and increased need for physical activity.

Pre-registration for general obedience classes is a requirement for adoption.

Sushi is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online dog application.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
