My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Aurora
DOB/Sex: 11/30/23 / F
Breed: Unknown Mix
Known Health Issues: Base narrow in lower jaw.
Good with: Kids! Dogs! Cats!
NO DOG PARKS

Aurora came in to rescue with her mom, Sunshine (also available for adoption, see her here: https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/40036015-niagara-falls-ontario-mixed-breed-medium-mix ) at just 1 day of age. Mom was dumped at a farm, so very little is known about her past, other than that she arrived very underweight. Sunshine is incredibly sweet, a trait that she has passed on to her puppies.

Aurora is the diva of the litter! She may be the smallest, but she makes herself known! She's fiesty, opinionated, and not afraid to tell you off 🤣 She is best suited to an experienced adopter, that enjoys working with sassy dogs. She plays hard, and she loves hard, but is also happy to chill once her energy needs are met. She is a ton of fun!

Aurora is base narrow, and had bilateral dental interlock with her lower, deciduous canines. These have been extracted. She has begun ball therapy, in hopes of encouraging the adult lower canines to spread enough, not to interlock, or dig into her upper palate. If this is unsuccessful, she will need to see a dental specialist to have the canines tipped. This is covered with her adoption.

Aurora enjoys throwing herself into things. Whether exploring a new challenge, or tearing about the house, she does everything with speed and gusto! She was the first to easily leap in and out of the puppy pen, and would love a home that will give her outlets for all her energy and drive. She is in prime socialization time, so proper and controlled exposure to the world is key.

Aurora can be vocal and opinionated. She is not suited for residences where her voice may cause issue with the neighbours. She is fine to go with homes with cats and kids, with proper training, and boundaries. She is very oral, and likes to use her mouth to explore her world.

Aurora will need to return to Martindale Animal Clinic, St. Catharines for her spay. Her adopter must be willing to bring her for her appointment. This is covered with her adoption.

If my divalicious, devoted, energizer bunny sounds like the girl missing from your life, please apply here: https://form.jotform.com/233466598767073 She looks forward to meeting you!
