My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy's person asked her sister to watch him when she moved to Texas. She said she'd be back in a few weeks.....which turned into months.....which brings us to today.

Sister and brother in law are not prepared to have a male Rottweiler. This wasn't fair to them but they are doing their best. Dawg Squad is hoping to find Steeler a new home.

He's well built...stocky, not fat....and very strong. Therefore no small children. Steeler will need leash work for sure but he does know a few basic commands.

AND LOOK AT THAT FACE! He's so willing to please.

Steeler does live with another dog and they have made peace with each other but we would recommend an only dog home OR a home with a very mellow same size female.

Steeler is a great dog! Let's make him yours!

Additional adoption info

If you find an animal that you are interested in, we do require that you fill out an adoption application. A home check will be done and we ask that all members of the family, animal and human, be present when we bring the new animal to your home. An adoption contract is then signed and a minimum donation is requested. Adoption donation is $350

Please note filling out an application does not guarantee an adoption. Please note we only adopt to Southern California. No out of state adoptions.

“The Adopt-A-Pet system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.”

More about this rescue

The Dawg Squad is working toward a time in Los Angeles when dogs are cared for, when all puppies find loving and generous owners. We rescue unwanted and abandoned dogs, provide them with medical care, rehabilitation and foster homes until caring, adoptive homes can be found. We spay and neuter prospective pets and educate owners about the importance of pet population control.

We make the dream come true, one dog at a time
