My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lilah is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!

Lilah comes to us all the way from Georgia, where she was found by one of our amazing foster mom's brother. Lilah can be shy at first, but she absolutely loves her people and especially her 7 year old human foster sister. She is wonderful with kids.

Lilah is housebroken, does well free roam when left alone, and is very toy motivated!

Lilah lives in a household with cats, dogs, and reptiles, too! She does well with all but she does get jealous about sharing resources, whether they be food or her people's attention! So while she enjoys playing with other animals, her foster family does feel she would love to be in a home where she can be the center of attention, and maybe a more calm environment is more suited to her calm temperament.

It is so nice that Lilah can wait for her happily ever after in the comfort of her loving foster home. Her foster family would love to tell you more about her, so please read on and we hope you will inquire!

"My name is Lilah, but my family calls me Lilac because I'm pretty as a flower. They also call me Lizard because of my long long and my hard hitting tail. I'm a relaxed southern gal who likes to curl up beneath a blanket from head to toe. Just like most southern belles, I can get down and dirty- especially when mom throws the ball for me! My mom says I give the sweetest kisses and that I also give the best paw. I can be quite nosy, a picky eater, and a bed hog, but I'm overall a simple girl. I'd love to find my forever home with people who understand me, and with people who can shower me in affection and attention all the time!"

Lilah's adoption fee is $250. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
