My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chiquita!

Chiquita was confiscated under an animal cruelty investigation and taken to San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus. We scooped her up to become a Frosted Face on January 31st. She is 12 years old and weighs 51 lbs.

Chiquita is very friendly, sweet, and good with other dogs her size. She loves attention, pets, and sitting in laps! She is a fun walking buddy with great leash manners and pep in her step! Chiquita can easily go 2-3 miles at a brisk pace during our weekly FFF hikes. She rides nicely in the car, takes treats gently, and is great with cats. She is such a good girl!

Chiquita lives in a Foster home, so we have learned a lot about her! Her Fling Mom reports:

"We have been fostering Chiquita for about a month. We absolutely love her. She is such a sweet soul. She loves cuddles and walks.

Chiquite is great on leash. In our field, she will walk by your side or behind you, never too far away. If we leave the gate open for her and our other dog, she will roam and check out the field. She likes a hike, but only a short one. She will get tired and just sit down. My son had to carry her back to his car on a hike that she decided was just too long.

Chiquita is very friendly and will follow you wherever you go. She does not go on the couch or bed, she is happiest on a dog bed. She sleeps great at night and has not had any accidents.

Chiquita has been such a good girl. She has stopped snapping at the little dogs in the house and just walks away. I think she might be a little afraid of our Frosted Face Kylo, who as the smallest doggo in our family, he is also biggest bully. He growls at Chiquita if she gets too close to him, so she leaves him alone or just accepts when he wants to sit by her.

Chiquita is truly an AMAZING girl. She listens so well. I can point in a direction and tell her to go, and she goes, this is usually done during feeding times when she is done before everyone else. She is not food aggressive, and she does not nudge other dogs away from their bowls to take over. But she will hover over them to lick their bowls and get anything left over.

Chiquita is really so special. She will be a wonderful addition to your family."
