Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lyle and his brother Larry ended here for a very sad reason. Just imagine you're happy at home with your brother and beloved person - safe, warm and loved - when the unthinkable happens. Suddenly, your person is no longer at home. You overhear that they've gone somewhere called a "nursing home." You miss them so much and aren't sure if they're coming back! Then, you also have to leave your home to go somewhere new. You wonder, "Is Second Chance a nursing home, too? I hope my person's nursing home has a catio, too. Will I ever see them again? Will I ever get to live in a home with my own family again?"
That's how Lyle (gray and white) and Larry (all gray) came to us. We're still getting to know these 5-year-olds, but so far they're chill, good-natured and sweet boys who were clearly loved very much. They don't seem particularly bonded, so they don't have to be adopted together, but it might help them adjust if they were. They will definitely need a little time to acclimate to new surroundings after all they've been through. They love sleeping up in the cat walk and have also tested all the comfy beds in their colony. They're fine with other cats and they didn't live with dogs previously, but a calm one may be ok. Both boys are neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
Come meet them any time we're open, fill out an adoption application at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or call 570-376-3646 with any questions.
