Just like his name implies, Mochi is a mushy, sweet, round rice cake. But, please don't eat him! This Mochi is for petting, snuggling, playing with and gazing at adoringly. How could you not, with that soft gray coat, piercing green eyes and perfectly round cheeks. But, Mochi's personality is what really seals the deal - he's friendly, outgoing, playful, smart, gentle and oh-so-sweet.
11-month-old Mochi didn't take long to acclimate here and seems to love everyone (and everyone certainly loves him back). He doesn't hesitate to greet you when you enter his colony, but he paitently and politely waits for his turn for pets, treats or whatever you're offering. In fact, he loves treats and treat puzzles! He gets along well with the other cats and has formed quite the gang with Lavender and CleoCatra. His previous home said he's not a big fan of dogs. Mochi is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Interview
We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.

Approve Application
We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

Meet the Pet
This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.

Our facility is open 12-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed Mondays and Wednesdays but are happy to arrange appointments outside business hours.
