My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Malcom is a year old and the sweetest, goofiest dog. He is kid friendly and dog friendly. He actually LOVES kids and other dogs. We are not sure about cats yet as we have not tested. He’s a big boy about 70 to 80 lbs now. He does still have a lot of puppy energy in him, and given his size and his strength, it would be best that he is in a household without toddlers or babies as he could accidentally knock them down. He's so smart and a huge snuggler and just wants to give and receive love. He also has a lazy side to him and loves naps and sleeping in bed with his humans, taking two thirds of the bed. He knows sit, shake, lay down, high five, come, and stay. He knows do you want a treat? He loves ice cubes, pure pumpkin in a can, scrambled eggs, brown rice in beef broth, and an occasional beef hot dog off the grill when it’s accidentally dropped. He's a total lover boy who would make a family very happy! He will thrive in a household that can do a mix of playtime and adventures and down time.

More about this rescue

Dog is my Shepherd Rescue & Rehab is a 501c3 nonprofit rescue located in Illinois devoted to saving, training, and rehabbing dogs locally and nation-wide from the shelters to the streets. We rescue all breeds, all ages, all sizes, and all personalities. We don't discriminate, from pitbulls to puppies, and everything in between, we rescue them all. We are run by two dog loving gals that want to make a positive pawprint with both short term and long term goals. We know we cannot save them all, but we can save many, and it's our mission to make sure they get their happily ever after.
