Peppy is perfect! We met this amazing middle age girl on a recent trip to Chicago Animal Care and Control and her happiness was contagious! Peppy was surrendered to CACC when her family no longer had heat in their home and were forced to move out with no place to go. She adores other dogs and has been friendly with children, even happily greeting a group of 20 Girl Scouts!
Peppy was lucky enough to score an amazing foster home recently with a lovely woman and her dog. Peppy's foster mom works out of the home, and Peppy does great being left out to free roam with her other dog for 10 hours, 5 days a week. Peppy's foster mom writes, "Peppy was a sad, scared lady coming into foster care which is understandable, considering she was relinquished to CACC after her family of 6 years was displaced last winter due to no heat. Looking for a "guard dog? Peppy is NOT your girl. Any person entering the house is greeted by this sweet girl who just wants to be loved and petted with her tail wagging! Peppy gets along well with other dogs, can be left in the house to free roam during the day, doesn't chew or tear up her toys. She wants nothing more than to be close to you 24/7 and if you forget she's there, occasionally she will let out the most adorable howl to get your attention. Please don't miss out on this sweet girl who is looking for your love, acceptance, and a home to call her own."
Peppy's adoption fee is $250. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
