My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Frankie (Franke)!

Frankie is a 1- to 2-year-old female Shepherd mix looking for a great forever home or (temporarily) a great foster home.

She's fully vetted and chipped, weighs 30 lbs. and is most likely fully grown. She's named after the amazing woman who gained her trust and rescued her.

Frankie needs a home with adopters who'll be patient with her, teach her and guide her. She most likely has never lived inside or been around good people until now, nor experienced love.

She loves other dogs! She likes kids but small kids need to respect her boundaries as she's still learning what they are.

She's also learning about collars and being on a leash.

For more info and/or to apply to foster or (better yet) adopt Frankie, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.

Additional adoption info

First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.

We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!

Adoption application
