My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kitty
Well, this is a fine pickle in which to find myself. I am 4-years-old, spayed, and now I'm homeless. I happen to think I am a lovely brown Tabby. I lived with my family all my life and went through moving three separate times. Plus, they brought a new kitten into the household with no warning! All of these factors can result in anxiety in a cat. Add to this the stress I experience when going to the Veterinarian. Anyway, I was surrendered on January 15th. Since then, I have kept to myself in my Kitty Kasa or behind my litterbox. When the interviewer lady arrived to take my interview, I was in my litterbox room and only sniffed her finger. I didn't leave the room, even when she waved a pipe cleaner around me. Once she finally closed my door, I hurried out to eat my breakfast. Here are my three wishes! To move in with a loving, patient human who promises: *They will not move again for a long time! *They will give me a small place of my own where I can relax and become accustomed to things. *And please, no new kittens sprung on me as a surprise. 2-13-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
