My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freddie is a very happy and friendly girl who loves to be with people. She enjoys playing with toys and balls and to romp in the yard. Freddie is well behaved, knows sit, paw and is still working on her leash manners as she tends to pull when she gets excited. Freddie enjoys belly rubs and peanut butter Kongs. She gets along with most dogs; we do not know what she thinks of cats. She had been surrendered by her previous owner for difficulty with housetraining. Freddie has been seen by a specialist, had an ultrasound and placed on Proin, a pill used to tighten the bladder sphincter muscle to help control urine leakage. The pill has helped her immensely and she will most likely need to be on it for the rest of her life. At the shelter, housebreaking has been going very slow as Freddie has been confused as to what should be done outside and not inside and the staff and dog walkers are doing their best to help her. Freddie is only a year old and 59 pounds. She is looking or someone who would be willing to give her the chance and time to become a loving member of the family. Could this be you?

We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821).

Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.

Freddie's adoption fee is $200. This also covers all age-appropriate shots, spay/neuter, vetting & microchipping.

**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
