My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Funyun is a very happy little man. He was wandering the streets for a long while before being cornered in someone’s yard so he could be rescued. He has some trust issues so he needs you to give him space and let him come to you at his pace. Once you are in the Funyun Club, you have a lifetime membership. He warms to men faster and loves to be on your lap.

Good with other dogs, fine with dog savvy cats, best with kids that are older and mature enough to be patient with him.

Working on the house training, currently being crated when not supervised. He dances for treats and has a lot of personality.

The application is the first step to see if you are potentially the right match for the animal of interest.This is not a guarantee/commitment of adoption. Our adoption process involves a home check, adoption contract & adoption fee of $400-600 for dogs depending on breed/age and $125 for cats. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, de-wormer & microchip.

LA Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue.

Established in late 2010, LAAR has helped save thousands of lives.

We currently care for over 200 domestic and farm animals between our rescue ranch and foster network. Each year hundreds of homeless and abandoned animals receive health care and are re-homed through LAAR. We are a small grassroots no-kill animal rescue that runs solely on donations and volunteers. We are committed to the animals in our care and they are safe with us until the perfect home comes along.
