My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy will probably stay around 5-6lbs. She is the sweetest girl! Very easy, great on leash, social and loving.

She was surrendered by a woman that said someone gave her the dog and she was not really prepared to care for a dog.

Her hair is currently trimmed down. She does get a bit shaggy if you let her hair grow out.

We never can guarantee a dog is “hypoallergenic” and since we don’t really know her breed/mix, it’s best you meet her at one of our adoption events to see if your allergies are triggered.

The application is the first step to see if you are potentially the right match for the animal of interest.This is not a guarantee/commitment of adoption. Our adoption process involves a home check, adoption contract & adoption fee of $400-600 for dogs depending on breed/age and $125 for cats. Adoption fees are non-refundable. Fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, de-wormer & microchip.

LA Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 animal rescue.

Established in late 2010, LAAR has helped save thousands of lives.

We currently care for over 200 domestic and farm animals between our rescue ranch and foster network. Each year hundreds of homeless and abandoned animals receive health care and are re-homed through LAAR. We are a small grassroots no-kill animal rescue that runs solely on donations and volunteers. We are committed to the animals in our care and they are safe with us until the perfect home comes along.
