These sweet girls were born in foster care after their parents were rescued. Due to their friendly and assertive natures and “can do” attitudes, they have been named after two influential and forward-thinking American women - Lucy Stone, an 19th century abolitionist and suffragette, and Alice Marble, an American tennis player who was the top-ranked player in the United States in the late 1930s. Lucy and Alice, the bunnies, are proud to be named after such positive role models! The girls were adopted but are being returned to us as their family can no longer care for them.
Lucy and Alice are generously sized beauties with gorgeous gray fur with black and white markings. They are a bonded pair and have been best buddies since day 1. During free roam time they enjoy exploring together, they love to share salads and hay, and perhaps their favorite thing is cuddling and napping together. They are initially cautious in new environments but warm up quickly and love to be petted! If you sit on the floor with them they will run over and apply gentle nose-boops to your person, inquiring about possible treats. Their future caretaker(s) will need to be skilled at petting two noses at once. These beautiful bunny girls are looking for a loving family unit to join - perhaps your family?
We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!
Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
