My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐦 Meet Joy and Jay! 🐦

These inseparable feathered friends are looking for a forever home where they can spread their wings and bring joy to their new family. Joy and Jay are a dynamic duo, bonded in friendship and love. Originally part of a small flock of four, it quickly became evident that these two were the closest of companions, finding solace and happiness in each other's company.

Joy, with her vibrant personality, is the life of the party! She's the epitome of liveliness, always chirping away and spreading happiness with her goofy antics. Her contagious energy is bound to bring a smile to your face every day.

On the other wing, we have Jay, the more reserved of the pair. Calm, collected, and observant, Jay balances out Joy's exuberance with his quiet demeanor. While he may not be as vocal, his gentle presence adds a sense of tranquility to their shared space.

Together, Joy and Jay create a harmonious melody of companionship and love. Whether they're fluttering around their cage or perched together, preening each other's feathers, their bond is undeniable.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease
