My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Ember!

This curious girl was recently returned back to AFRP after her owner could no longer care for her

Ember originally came to AFRP as a sad 6-week-old kitten that was found crying and alone in front of the King City Fire Station (hence the name). She is a sweet and independent girl who loves to explore! She makes an effort to peek into every nook and cranny she can, making sure to investigate and report her findings back to her favorite human followed up by some cuddles!

Ember would love to go to a home with Lyric (previously adopted together), but would also do fine in a home with another kitty similar in temperament to her! She is unphased by dogs, and may do fine with a cat-savvy dog given proper introductions. Her preferred home is with adult adopters or families with children over the age of 10 who can take the time and patience to continue positive socialization with her!

Ember is currently in foster care. An in-person meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been received and approved. https://animalfriendsrescue.org

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
