My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All About PJ!
Still in the lovely puppy stage, he's just starting to be comfortable with chewing things. He likes to chew on anything wood in the house but we are getting over that quickly. You just need to give him a chew toy and he doesn't think twice about the wood.
Personality is still coming out and he's still very timid around new people but he's starting to play with the ball and any rope toys around the house.
Pj has been having quiet time in the kennel a couple times a day to get away from the other pupper for a bit. He does wonderful in his kennel although he doesn't like to walk in at first.
He has had a couple accidents in the house, but coming from an over crowded outdoor kennel, he's doing awesome! He's fully kennel trained and sleeps all night without accidents. However his foster is trying out sleeping in bed. He doesn't seem to hold it as long but he does a good job whining to wake his foster mom up to go outside
So far the only other dog he's been around is his furry foster sister and he does great with her. PJ hasn't quite figured out how to fully play with her yet, it's almost like he doesn't know how to use his paws. He loves the resident cat and backs right off if the cat gets uncomfortable. We have not introduced kids yet but will be shortly.
He does very well in the car in a back seat hammock. He will just lay down and relax.
His future home will need some patience with him as he figures things out. He would do great with some basic obedience training and a big space to go and run off leash. He wants to join his foster sister on her romps around the yard.
Pj's adoption fee is $425 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations appropriate at the time of adoption, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org
