My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Minnie is a petite, 23 lb, 2 year old sweet, affectionate ball of fun looking for a home without other animals that is equally joyful and energetic as she is. She will absolutely thrive in an active home where she can freely run and play and be taken on daily walks and romps. She has great, happy energy with people and wants to keep those little legs and body of hers moving. She's also very good at downtime and will snuggle in for some pets and just to be close to her people. As much as she loves activity, she also loves attention and affection from people. She'll wag her tail and come to you for a sweet hello. She so deserves to be in the loving arms of a home that will love and care for her forever. No other animals in the home is a must. A fenced in yard so she can freely run and play would be great for her. Minnie is spayed, up to date with vaccinations and micro-chipped. If interested, please email adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org for an application. Minnie is patiently waiting with her paws crossed.

Please note we are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If interested in making a difference in a dog's life we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We are dedicated to ensuring that our dogs go to a "forever" loving, nurturing home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.

Go meet their pets

We provide adoption opportunities for those living in the Northeast who are willing to do long distance adoptions. Many of our dogs live in Wharton, Texas but we have very safe, reliable transport to the Northeast.

More about this rescue

Smiling Dog Farms is a 501(c) non-profit animal rescue. We strive to restore hope to the forgotten, neglected and rejected unwanted dogs and puppies rescued from the streets and local kill-shelters. Each dog that enters our rescue receives their full round of vaccinations, gets spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and placed on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the Northeast.
