My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone, meet Linnie! This darling girl is ready to shower you with everlasting love! She is sweet, gentle, affectionate, gives kisses abundantly and she adores receiving attention as much as she enjoys giving it. A fantastic companion she will make to a very lucky family. Linnie has a tendency to steal people's hearts as she endearingly looks up into your eyes with her soft expressions. Her coat is a luxurious black with chocolate brown undertones that are captured in certain lighting and seems to be more prominent when she sheds her winter coat. Linnie will absolutely thrive in an active home where she can accompany her humans on daily walks and outdoor adventures. She's athletic, curious and smart while also being gentle and equally enjoying downtime snuggled beside her person. She doesn't do well with other dogs so we're looking for a home for Linnie where she can be the one and only fur star in the home. Linnie does exhibit some prey drive so a fenced in yard would be preferable for safety reasons.  This will allow her, and her humans, to enjoy romping, playing, exploring, as well as relaxing, freely within the safety of the yard.  If you are looking for an affectionate love bug to keep you company and cherish the ground you walk on, Linnie is the girl for you. Linnie is spayed, up to date with vaccinations, micro-chipped and weighs around 70 lbs. Her estimated year of birth is early 2021. If interested, please email us for an application at adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org

Please note we are always in need of foster homes for our dogs, Marissa included. If interested in making a difference in a dog's life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent. Foster homes greatly increase the chances of speedier adoptions and you'd be making a huge, positive difference in the life of an animal who needs you.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We are dedicated to ensuring that our dogs go to a "forever" loving, nurturing home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.

Go meet their pets

We provide adoption opportunities for those living in the Northeast who are willing to do long distance adoptions. Many of our dogs live in Wharton, Texas but we have very safe, reliable transport to the Northeast.

More about this rescue

Smiling Dog Farms is a 501(c) non-profit animal rescue. We strive to restore hope to the forgotten, neglected and rejected unwanted dogs and puppies rescued from the streets and local kill-shelters. Each dog that enters our rescue receives their full round of vaccinations, gets spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and placed on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the Northeast.
