Meet the Queen of Cuddles, Adventure, and Toy Time – Kelly!

Looking for a best friend who’s equal parts snuggle bug, hiking buddy, and independent queen? Let us introduce you to Kelly, the pit bull mix with the softest fur and the biggest heart.

Kelly has been in her loving foster home for over a year, and while she’s been patiently waiting and thriving, she’s ready to find her forever family to call her own. Could it be you?

This sweet girl LOVES:
•Hugs, butt scratches, and brush time (yes, she’s basically a spa day in dog form)
•Playing with her toys – solo or with her favorite humans
•Kids, dogs, and adventures – walks, hikes, even hanging at your favorite dog-friendly brewery
•Her crate and alone time – she’s the perfect balance of affectionate and independent

She’s also a total rockstar with manners:
•Potty trained
•Crate trained
•Sleeps soundly through the night
•Uses a doggie door like a pro
•Knows “sit” and “lay down”
•Can catch treats mid-air like an athlete
•Rarely ever barks – unless she’s telling you how amazing she is (with those adorable ears!)

Health: Perfect.
Personality: 10/10.
Cats or tiny critters: Not really her jam.

Kelly is a healthy, happy girl, and while she’s great at sharing love, she sometimes prefers not to share her toys — we all have that one thing we’re protective of, right? She does best with guidance and patience, and she’s made incredible progress with her foster family.

From the moment Kelly came into our home, she’s been nothing short of a joy to foster. She’s made herself right at home in her “bedroom” and crate—it’s her safe haven, and she’ll even hop up and knock on the doorknob when she’s ready to head up for a meal or a little rest. Kelly is a quiet soul who rarely barks, and while she enjoys playing with our dogs, she gravitates toward our more low-key pups and often prefers doing her own thing.

She loves toys, especially the indestructible kind (BarkBox Super Chewer toys are a hit here), and she’s so considerate that she’ll actually bring toys inside after my other dogs leave them in the yard—talk about helpful! She’s completely potty trained, uses our doggy door, and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate. Kelly loves adventures—she’s joined us on hikes, walks around South End, and even completed a 5k—but with her fluffy chow and Pomeranian coat, she’s q
