My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact foster at, outscreen@gmail.com

- House trained
- Friendly to everyone she meets
- Loves kids and other dogs
- Enjoys toys and can entertain herself
- Did well in breweries
- Knows `sit` and `paw`
- Takes treats gently

Hazel is a very sweet girl whose favorite thing in the world is making friends. She loves both running around the yard and relaxing on her bed beside her people. Hazel is an easy, low-maintenance companion - she’s house-trained, respectful indoors (only chews on her toys). She doesn’t bark at outside noises, doorbells, or knocks. Did great when left alone with zero accidents or destruction.

She greets everyone with enthusiasm and her trademark smile, especially kids and other dogs. Hazel also did well when she met a cat, though supervision is recommended with smaller animals since she can get a little overexcited. Eager to please and full of charm, Hazel wins hearts wherever she goes and would be a joyful addition to almost any home.

More about this shelter

Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control's pet adoption program brings animals and people together. If you are looking for a new pet, ACC has a wide variety of animals to adopt; from dogs and cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, to the occasional snake and pot-bellied pigs. The shelter also has two specially designed bonding areas for people to interact and play with the animals they are considering for adoption.
