My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Calpurrnia! I'm a tuxie with a white chest and feet. I think it's fair to say you will be mesmerized by my bright green eyes and cute and distinctive face markings. I'm a lover and want pets, rubs and scratches from humans, whether I know them or not!

I'm happy just being wherever the humans are in the house, lying nearby on the floor or a rug. Of course, a sunny, warm spot is preferable. I'm somewhat partial to my foster Mom's yoga mat as well. It's fun when my foster Mom moves a toy at the end of a stick around and I try to pull it down. I like watching all the critters outside, whether I'm on a window sill or on my foster Mom's screened in porch. I like being on different levels for changes in perspective. I usually go on the three level bush or the Purrniture in the kitten room.

I've made friends with my foster Mom's one year old cat. We touch noses and sometimes chase each other. I am lucky that I found my way to Bitty Kitty Brigade! I was a stray and a nice family would give me food sometimes. I was living outside and was pregnant. I knew my babies were coming very soon, so I went to the nice family because I knew my babies and I would be safe and warm there. I got inside the house, and had my babies almost right away. The family found Bitty Kitty, and I was transported within hours after the birth to an intake person, and went to my foster Mom the next morning. I am so glad to be an indoor cat!

My perfect home would have humans who love me and give me affection, sunny spots for napping, window ledges for looking outside, cat trees and another young cat to be my buddy. I hope to meet you so you can see how precious I am!

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered

microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
