Hello!

Our names are Jack and Janet. (Any "Three's Company" fans out there? We were named for two of the trio-our third member, Chrissy, is not quite ready for adoption yet.) We are very pleased to meet you! We'd like to tell you a bit about ourselves, so let's start with our origin story! The three of us were living in the (not-so-great) outdoors. Our homeless cat colony was in the midst of being decimated by predators, so we spent our time narrowly escaping encounters with coyotes' sharp teeth and car tires. Given this, it was not a moment too soon when our clowder's kind caretaker brought us to Rescue House's attention. After landing in foster care, we all were treated to a visit to the dentist-gulp! Well, the two of us don't have a whole lot of teeth left, but we are considerably happier and healthier. In tip-top shape and ready for adoption, we are looking for roommates and for a new pad to crash in-we heard yours looks promising!

Both of us are gentle, low maintenance, and appreciative of human kindness. After foraging for scraps on the streets, we also are super psyched about regular meals and are four-legged foodies. (We are so motivated by food that you definitely could use it to teach us tricks!) Here's a little about each of us:
---Jack: I am a lovely fellow. Although I immensely appreciate affection and attention, I never demand it as I don't want to impose. Other sources of pleasure include being near you, hearing about your day, and watching the world and all its antics through the window. I enjoy the simple things in life and would be so grateful to share them with you. When I imagine our days together, they involve lots of hanging out and napping close to one another as well as some heart-to-hearts.
---Janet: I am a free spirit! An adventurer and escape artist, I am super skilled at getting out of my room at my foster's house! I split my time between exciting undertakings and scholarly pursuits-I take after my namesake (Janet Wood) a bit. If not on an expedition, I enjoy embroidery, reading my horoscope, and solving the NYT crossword puzzle. Undemanding and a tad bashful, I am delightfully endearing, and in terms of affection, I adore being on the receiving end of it when it is gentle.

While we are comfortable with each other, we still are suspicious of anyone outside of our circle. With proper introductions, though, we might accept other cats. Our foster home doesn't have kids or dogs, so we aren't sure how we feel about either.

We so look forward to meeting you and living out the rest of our many "Happy Days" (another vintage TV reference) with you, dear reader! Thanks so much for considering bringing us into your heart and home. We hope there's room for us!

Warm Regards,
Janet & Jack
