My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pluto had to leave what he thought was his forever home when his guardian could no longer care for him. Pluto has adjusted quickly to his new surroundings and is usually out on the screened area strolling around, enjoying himself. He is a very gentle natured kitty and welcomes the attention and affection of visitors, including strangers. In fact, he usually crawls in the lap of volunteers looking for a little loving and attention as they visit his house.

Pluto also gets along great with all the other cats in his house. Pluto is a friendly, good-natured, easy-going kitty that would do well in almost any home. Come meet this handsome fellow and see for yourself what a special kitty he is!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
