CODY - a delightful, energetic companion with a heart of gold.
This gentle giant loves nothing more than playtime, whether it's with squeaky toys, tug of war with his foster siblings, or chasing his human brothers. He's a cuddle bug at heart, always ready for hugs and snuggles. With his eagerness to please, he's mastered commands like sit and shake and shows promise for more training. Housebroken and crate-trained, Cody is an independent pup who enjoys the freedom of coming and going through the doggy door, though he much prefers to be by his family's side. While he loves walks, he's still learning leash manners, especially around other dogs. With his strength and energy, he'd thrive in an active family with a fenced yard where he could romp and play to his heart's content. Cody's easygoing personality and unwavering desire to bring joy to his family make him an irreplaceable companion.

We do not transport dogs. All dogs must be picked up from Northern VA in person by the adopter.

More about this rescue

Somerset Cottage Poodle Rescue, established in 2013, is an all volunteer 501c(3) dog rescue funded by your donations. We rescue companion and senior dogs, at risk for euthanasia, from overcrowded shelters and provide them with the medical attention they need. We also redone dogs for owners who can no longer care for them. We do not have a facility so all of our dogs live in foster homes through out the Northern Virginia area until their adoption day. We are proud that we find them perfectly matched forever homes and families. We rescue and find permanent homes for approximately 250 dogs a year.
