My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Biscotti!

The delightful 2-year-old cane corso/Hound mix, weighing in at 52 lbs, with a heart as big as his playful spirit! Biscotti is ready to bring joy and laughter to his forever family with his energetic and goofy personality.
Biscotti is an energetic and goofy boy who loves to play and explore. He may take some time to warm up, but once he does, he's a loyal and affectionate companion.

If there are children in his forever home, Biscotti would do best with older kids aged 13 - 16 and older. This ensures an understanding environment where Biscotti can thrive and form meaningful bonds with his human siblings.
Biscotti can be a bit selective with canine friends, and he prefers a slow introduction to make sure it is a good fit. With patience and proper introductions, Biscotti shows potential to make furry friends and enjoy his playtime to the fullest.

Ready to welcome the playful spirit of Biscotti into your life? Call 330-487-0333 ext 226 to schedule an appointment and let the delightful presence of Biscotti fill your home with love. Your forever friend is just a call away!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of our adoptable animals are up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, de-wormed, de-flea and microchipped before adoptions are finalized. All dogs over six months of age receive a temperament assessment by our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to ensure appropriate placement. Also, many animals in our care receive basic obedience training to improve manners and increase adoptability.

We are currently doing adoptions by appointment only. Please contact us by phone at (234) 212-9843 or email at adoptions@summithumane.org, and an adoption counselor will return your message. They will review our adoption process, answer any questions, and tell you more about the animals currently available for adoption at our shelter and in our foster program. If we have a match for you and your family, an appointment will be scheduled to meet the animal.

Additional questions can be directed to our adoption team at (234) 212-9843.

More about this shelter

Since 1968, the Humane Society of Summit County (HSSC) has been the trusted caretaker and advocate for Summit County’s victims of animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment and stray animals suffering from illness and injury. We employ two full-time Humane Officers who respond to emergency calls, investigate animal cruelty, and, as warranted, prosecute offenders. We protect and care for our community’s abused, discarded, and forgotten animals. We strive every day to rehabilitate our rescued animals, find them great homes, and provide them with bright futures.
