My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MARCH

BREED: Chihuahua blend

AGE: 6 months

WEIGHT: 7 pounds

Hi! It’s March!! He is a feisty little guy, who can be shy around new people and will give you “the belly” for a nice belly rub before running away.

March can be very playful, especially when he’s playing with his sister, July.

This sweet soul can be afraid of noises in his environment, and we gather that has much to do with his lack of socialization before joining our rescue. With more patient socializing and consistent training, he may learn that most sounds aren’t scary.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: A work in progress. This is a milestone he will master in due time, with the support of his adoptive family.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Comfortable in an x-pen.

To further inquire about MARCH, click on the link to submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how MARCH will mesh with your lifestyle.

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for MARCH, as well as his future family.

Additional adoption info

The process for adoption through our rescue begins with the adoption application. Once accepted, a meet and greet with the dogs is arranged and includes everyone in the family including other pets. If the dog seems like a good fit, he/she is brought to the home where the dog will be living to make sure it is an appropriate home....ie. dog friendly, fenced yard, etc. Finally, an adoption agreement is signed to insure that the adopter understands what is expected of them.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs are in foster homes prior to finding their forever homes. Please contact us if you see a dog you'd like to meet. We also participate in adoption events at local pet stores.

More about this rescue

Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is located in Eugene, Oregon. We focus mainly on small dogs that we rescue from the high kill shelters in California. We depend on foster families to help socialize and train the dogs prior to placing them in a forever home. We are focused on saving as many lives as possible!
