My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Doodle is an adorable cat who loves to relax and lounge around. She'll be the best nap buddy you've ever had! She loves sitting next to you and enjoying your company, without constantly berating you for attention - but she will come up and headbutt you for pets when she wants. If you have a quiet home and are looking for a relaxed cat, Doodle may just be your perfect fit.

Don't let her initial shyness fool you - she will be the perfect loving and loyal
companion for her human, and she also has a bit of a spicy side! She likes what she likes, and she'll let you know. Doodle is not, for example, a fan of belly rubs; and she made that clear to her foster family! But her sweet side is more than worth the sass.

Doodle is patiently waiting for a relaxed, chill lifestyle in her forever home.
Winning her over may take a few days, but it will be worth the short wait for this lovable girl. If you're looking for a companion who will enjoy your presence and lounge around in the sun, Doodle might just be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
