My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you always wanted a cat that loves to play and watch birds with you? If you answered yes, then look no further! Flitter is looking for her furrever home with a person that is patient and has a big heart to shower her in affection.

In return, she will shower you back in affection! She is a little shy at first but will warm up to you as soon as she realizes that you love birds as much as she does. Once she gets to know you, she'll spend her time playing with you, taking catnaps by your feet while you doze off, going on adventures, and lurking inside your top cabinet to enjoy the high view it gives her! Flitters' favorite toy is a catnip mouse! The more mice, the better!

Please reach out because Flitter is so eager to change your life furever! We know that you'll love the way that Flitter will flutter into your life.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
