My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Fowler. I'm a young male adult (little over a year) who still acts like a kitten. I love to play, run, jump, chase, and climb! I especially love my toy mouse and the laser pointer, and I just might turn your feet into something to play with every now and then! I also have a lei, which is really fun! I like being petted and sitting in your lap, but I don't like to be picked up! I will sleep with you too!

I will gladly follow you from room to room and when I am ready for affection, I will meow loudly until I get it. I would be good with a family with older children, a young couple, or an adult home. I might be shy with you at first, but I'll warm up quickly!

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
